– I love telling a story. So, I guess lifestyle would be my forte. I love births, traveling, humanitarian work, and product stories!
How long have you had your business?
-I started “tell the birds” photography in 2012 and then grew it into video in 2014 .
Where did you get “Tell the Birds”?
-My grandpa gave me my first camera when I was 12 or 13 and whenever I think of that set of grandparents, I think of birds because my grandma collects all things birdlike, so they’re all over her house and I LOVED them growing up. So I wanted to make sure it was something with my grandparents, and something free and flighty, like my personality!
I never wanted my business name to be my name because I’ve always wanted to be able to grow and make it company with employees. Honestly, I love hearing how people interpret it! So many people take it differently, so Id love to keep it at that!
OPEN TO INTERPRETATION!
Where do you get your music?
-I get my songs licensed through The Music Bed
Do you travel?
-YES! I work out travel fees or ways to get to you by booking more shoots in your area to avoid just you paying for a travel fee! Lets chat about it! CONTACT us!
Where do you get your clothes?
Can I hire you for video work?
-YES PLEASE! Click Here!
What advice would you give to an aspiring videographer/photographer?
-When first starting out, shoot everything. don’t give yourself a label yet. (“I only do weddings, i only do music videos…ect”) Get to know all kinds of shoots, get your name around and get a feel for what you like. When i first started out, I just wanted to do weddings, but now, I love doing companies and products, but I have the skills and experience to do other things when tough times come and I need a job doing any kind of shoot!
Dont be afraid to experiment. Come up with a weird idea or story, Get some friends togethernad spend the day filming it!
Dont compare yourself to others! This profession is growing and its easy to look at someone elses stuff and wish yours looked like theirs, but from my experience, ive learned to get you own look, and OWN IT!
This is a SHARING COMMUNITY! Dont be selfish with your knowlege, ideas and inspiration! We are all out to make a beautiful thing, share your locations, what you use, how you do it. Poeple want to know to get involved. When i was younger, my sisters would copy me and i would get so upset, but my mom always told me that it was a compliment. They want to be like you if theyre copying you! Be flattered! Help people out, give advice, collaborate! Its such a fun inspiring comminuty! Enjoy it! Dont get caught up in the number of social media. Be You, and LOVE IT!
